This week’s winner, chosen by random drawing of all the above entrants, is #2, Annie. Come back Friday to read more about it and join the next round of Writing Festival Friday.

As for the rest of you, don't despair. Someone's gotta win, every week. I'm enjoying the interview process.

Congratuations Donna! And Thank you to Linda for having such an event! Donna's deserved a little "notarity" for a long time!

And to Donna - I know you've got TONS of "material" with all those neices and nephews of yours, and that wondefully rich country background. Kudos for a job well done! Keep up the good work! I can't WAIT to read your book when it's published! I own 2 of your published pieces, and am hounoured. Never stop your mind from wandering....that's where dreams become reality.

It was a delight to read about Donna's writing and outlook and of her characters Jenny and Brose. As a former teacher, I found the title's eye and ear-catching, and suspect that kids do, too. And I like that there is are underlying lessons involved. Thanks for doing the interviews, Linda. Middle-grade readers are not easy to do. I've published short stories with a trio of multicultural, fifth-grade sleuths. The Stanley Street Irregulars have fun and do good . . . they're not like a "regular" gang . . . and so their "Irregular" name. It's not easy to write to the targeted age range, given the glitz and blitz that allures kids to something less than helpful, uplifting or thought provoking. So well done!

Thanks for sharing your writing journey, practice and progress Donna. You've reminded me how much I enjoy reading children's books and inspired me to dust off the two that have been languishing in my backfiles for years.
