My expression of spirituality is based on creativity. I know God as the Creator, and know we were make in His image. So that makes us creators in a similar way. We don’t create the universe however we are given the skills to create many things in this world. So these creativity sites are close to my heart.
Today I didn’t work on my sites as I should have. I was distracted by many things – a sick dog, a kitchen sink that suddenly stopped draining, and is still plugged somewhere deep under this house despite all our efforts, and my own decluttering project. I’ve been working on my bedroom, and today got the inspiration to turn the corner of my bedroom into a small art studio space. This involved a bit of furniture moving. I got my easel out of the closet in my office, and set it up, and put all my art supplies in that corner. It looks and feels wonderful!
So… the sites I usually work on every Tuesday, that I didn’t work on today, are these:
Literature For Kids – stories, poems and articles for children.
My other main writing site is one I set up for articles written about writing. I moved a lot of them away from this blog a few years ago. The site is gathering dust in that I haven’t added much lately… but it gets a fair amount of traffic.
My secret site that really – almost nobody knows about – until now . . . contains a few childhood memoirs: Cali Childhood. I rarely add to it – but am doing so for my children. I post memoirs about my own childhood, and about theirs. We were all raised in California.
So that’s it for now. I’ve got another site in this category that isn’t developed at all – but will announce it only when it is worth looking at.
Some days, like today, I get no work done on my intended projects. But let’s face it – housework sometimes has to take precedence. Today’s plugged sink was time consuming. We’re hoping to get professional help on that soon, because lack of a kitchen sink seems like a huge problem! Also the continuation of my bedroom improvement project needed to be done. So I don’t worry too much if I miss a week of working on a niche. I just hit it again the next week.
