I had so much fun at last year’s Muse Online Writers Conference, I volunteered to present a workshop this year. My topic is Creating An Impressive Writing Website.
It has been touch-and-go getting ready for this workshop. I’ve never done anything like this before so it is scary to begin with. On top of that, there were a lot of deadlines to meet. I had to send a bio and a short blurb about the workshop. First timer… I think I could have done a lot better… especially after comparing my entries with everyone else’s. But overall, I did what I had to do and met the deadlines.
The last deadline was to send in a word.doc file with my “handout” that will be distributed to everyone who signs up for my workshop. I thought outside the box on that one. My handout merely refers people to the Squidoo page I created for the workshop (the link is above). I love the Squidoo format as it is something I can add to over the next two months as I prepare for the conference and my workshop.
I owned a web design business for five years (closed it last year so I could do something else) so I have a good grounding in the topic. Now I’m finding articles and information I can refer people to for help in creating their websites. All my links will go into the lens I created.
I’m actually looking forward to this.
Oh… Very Important – if you plan to register for the conference, you’ll need to register by September 1. The conference coordinator, Lea, is very strict about pre-registration.

I’m signing up for your workshop because I need it badly. I’m so computer challenged. Look forward to working with you. 🙂
