I actually have little roses blooming in my yard now. That’s a surprise because the property was burned terribly in a forest fire last September, and most of the roses had to be transplanted in an attempt to save them. Two bushes that weren’t transplanted actually bloomed for me this week.

Book Lady’s August 2019 Reading Report
I’m getting to it. Really… only a few days late with this posting. I’ve been busy. I returned to North Idaho. I’m moving out of my apartment. I joined a health club so I’ll have a place for exercise and showers while I’m traveling. I’m getting used to the exercise and having fun visiting members of my church. And I’m reading. This posting is all about my August reading plans, realities and hopes.

Art & Fear – Review of the Book by David Bayles & Ted Orland
Welcome to my Art & Fear review. Art & Fear is a classic philosophical non-fiction art book by David Bayles and Ted Orland. It is deep enough to become ponderous at times, but readable enough to keep my attention from start to finish.

The Alyssa Project – A Challenging Re-Vision
Right now I’m in writing hiatus mode while editing. I’m revising The Alyssa Project – a novel I started way back in 2000 or 2001. I’ve rewritten it completely at least once and now am embellishing, dealing with name changes, and giving the characters more background and depth.
