June might turn out to be a month of great change for me. I’m hoping to get my van converted, better than before, into a fully self-contained Class B RV. There may be solar panels and even an air conditioner (that can be used only with shore power). That would mean: time for a vacation! Wherever I go, there will be books.

Clean Reads Reading Plan
I am tired of reading recently written novels with trash in them. By trash I mean anything that offends, like violence, cursing and sex scenes. Today’s literature often carries all three to extremes. In the last few years I’ve been exposed to many types of literature and I’ve decided to back off and only read what makes me happy, so I’ve developed a new reading plan.

Linda Book Lady’s May 2021 Reading Report & Diary
I actually have little roses blooming in my yard now. That’s a surprise because the property was burned terribly in a forest fire last September, and most of the roses had to be transplanted in an attempt to save them. Two bushes that weren’t transplanted actually bloomed for me this week.

Linda Book Lady’s April 2021 Reading Report & Diary
April – what a good month for a vacation! I’m considering spending a few days in Southern Oregon. I don’t want to go far from home but I have a good location picked out. I hope it won’t snow.

Linda Book Lady’s March 2021 Reading Report & Diary
March is a busy reading month on Booktube with some intense challenges like the Irish Readathon, March Mystery Madness and March of the Mammoths. I decided to forego all of these this year and to engage only in Middle Grade March, a challenge to read six middle grade books. Right up my alley.

Linda Book Lady’s January 2021 Reading Report & Diary
Progress in housing! After the fire I stayed in a hotel two months, then my van one month, and now I’m in a travel trailer! I have creature comforts! I have a kitchen! Etc. …and of course, there are books. Yes, even though most of my book collection was burned in the forest fire, I still have plenty to read. A person can only read one book at a time anyway. Why do we need thousands?

2021 Goals, Intentions, Plans, Strategies, Hopeful Desires, the Annual To-Do List, Kitchen Sink Included, Etc.
Let’s not call these ideas “resolutions.” We all know resolutions have a bad reputation. This is going to be another one of my “living documents” that I’ll keep updating all through the year 2021. That’s the plan, anyhow. It is of course dependent on various factors, like having a computer and electricity and internet connection. If life continues as it has been, I might keep updating this until the end of the year. I guess after the forest fire in September, I’m not counting on anything to continue… just hoping it will.

Book Lady’s December 2020 Reading Report & Diary
Still homeless after my home burned in a fire… unless you count my van, which I’m making a home inside of. Not sure what I want to do next.

I’m trying to do too much all at one time. Currently I’m getting ready to exit the hotel where the Red Cross hosted me ever since the Slater Fire burned my home to the ground.

Book Lady’s October 2020 Reading Report
I’m playing catch-up with reading due to the terrible forest fire that destroyed my home last month. For a while I could not even read, and then I wasn’t able to read much. Consequently I’m reading a lot of books this month that I wanted to read last month.
