I’m excited to be reading something new in June. A few of the long classics I had to put on hold for a bit, but I do plan to get back to them later this year.

Reading Intentions
Here are a few books I’m currently reading and making progress on.
★ Classic Fiction: The Woman in White, by Wilkie Collins
I’m listening to this on audiobook at night before sleeping. It is, thus far, keeping my attention well.
★ Memoir: Miracle Country, by Kendra Atleework
★ History: The Wright Brothers, by David McCullough
I didn’t read this enough in May. I hope to finish it during June. It is very interesting but as with all David McCullough history books, it is heavy with facts and information, and a bit of a challenge to sift through.
★ Classic Fiction: The Three Musketeers, by Alexandre Dumas
This qualifies as part of my classical education project. I’m nearly done reading this awful book. I’m not a fan because the 4 main characters are pathetic sociopaths, but I’m determined to finish it anyway because it is a classic. Side note: When I was a child my favorite candy bar was Three Musketeers. Now that I’ve read most of this book, I wish it had been something else. Oh well. I had an appointment to meet this book and now that I know more about it, I can give it a hearty one-star review when I get finished. I’ve heard that Dumas’ other famous novel is better. (The Count of Monte Cristo)
★ Art: Perspective Made Easy, by Ernest R. Norling
This is my second try at getting through this book that really, to be honest, goes over my head at times. But I’m going to keep on reading because I hope something will “click” and I’ll learn to draw buildings with better perspective.

★ Art: Art Studio Secrets: More Than 300 Tools and Techniques to Inspire Creativity, by Marjorie Sarnat
This book lists a lot of art techniques the author has tried out. Something for everyone! Almost all words; few illustrations.

No DNF’s yet in June.
As of January I no longer have a diary section at the end of my monthly book posts. I discontinued it because I rarely use it. However, if I have anything more to say about anything, I’ll write it down here. It just won’t be in a diary-type format.
